But whatever your opinion may be, it's a safe bet that both serious car buffs in it for the rush of seeing super high-performance, ridiculously expensive sports cars in action and those who simply enjoy watching three guys indulging in silly vehicular high jinks will find plenty of entertainment in these 16 second-season episodes. The three Yank hosts are again comedian Adam Ferrara (a.k.a. "The Wrecker"), Tanner Foust ("The Driver"--the three-time X Games medalist is the one who gets to test-drive hot rides like the Porsche 911 GT2RS, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI… and a $500,000 Ford Fiesta, which he uses to break the world indoor speed record), and Rutledge Wood ("The Expert," although it's not clear exactly in what). Each episode finds them facing a variety of "challenges," dispensing witty one-liners and dude-esque putdowns as they drive around in not only automobiles (mostly old, funky, and unreliable, usually costing between $500 and $5,000), but also pickups, minivans, fake versions of Hollywood cars (like KITT from Knight Rider ), and even big rig trucks. The results are generally amusing; a challenge to find a "luxury" car for under five grand results in Rutledge picking a "Fauxrari" (a cheap plastic Ferrari body over a Pontiac frame), which he then drives to the Hamptons to see if he can pass it off as the real thing, while in another episode he tries to haul fresh cow manure in the back of a Mazda Miata convertible. Sure, some of their stunts are as dumb and dangerous as something you'd find in a Jackass movie--you probably wouldn't want to take an 18-wheeler with a trailer filled with lighted barbeques, gas, and fireworks on to the nearest freeway--but it's all in good fun. Meanwhile, the "Big Star, Small Car" segments, a popular holdover from the British series, sees celebs like Kal Penn, Lake Bell, Joe Mantegna, Patrick Warburton, Edward Burns, and Adam Levine driving a little Suzuki in a season-long competition to see who can turn in the fastest lap.
